Weekend Tour de Rotterdam via Geospatial World Forum 2023

Check out my snapshots exploring Rotterdam, Netherlands at the Geospatial World Forum last May 2023 in this Esri Story Map. I love the ability to customize the various base map selection's hashtag#hex colors to capture the unique colors of the cityscape from the colors I extract from my camera's snapshots. I use special font selections to grab the culture and ambiance I see in signs and wall murals. Overall, custom vector base maps give me a creative outlet to better understand my surroundings in new and unfamiliar territories and add a story to the photos I share from traveling. Where was this taken, near the beginning or the end of my Strava run? What neighborhood? Is there a pattern to my photo stories?

Shout out to fellow Geospatial World Rising Stars, and Seatlillite, Alex Sweeney that accompanied me on many of these shots, and Emma Hardy for pushing me to share. A fun creative outlet to balance out my geospatial automating and engineering work.
